Luxury heritage hotel opens in downtown Yangon

Yangon’s latest luxury hotel, Yangon Excelsior, has opened in the city’s downtown.

The five-star property is set in a renovated 19th century heritage building that was once the headquarters of the Steel Brothers Limited Company.

The hotel on Bo Soon Pat Street offers 74 rooms, an executive lounge, gym, two meeting rooms, a café-cum-bar, and a restaurant. Its interior blends an old merchant trading atmosphere with a modern, polished feel.

 
Yangon Excelsior is one of several top hotels to open in Myanmar recently. Other investments have come from international brands such as Lotte, GCP Hospitality, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, and AccorHotels Group.
